Dr Vignaendra (known to his patients as “Dr Vig”) is a vocationally trained GP specialist who completed RACGP college training in Sydney in 2009.
Dr Vignaendra comes from a multi-generational medical family and has worked as a doctor in Sydney and across NSW for over 25 years. He grew up in St Ives, was dux of St Ives High School and studied medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1997.
Dr Vignaendra spent his intern year at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle before returning to Sydney, where he gained significant experience across major teaching hospitals, including Royal North Shore Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital and Westmead Hospital.
Dr Vignaendra has a holistic approach and takes time to carefully listen to his patients. He is known for being thorough and compassionate. He is highly skilled at helping patients navigate what can be a confusing and complex medical system with his deep understanding of the medical system and his network of specialist colleagues in private practice, private hospitals and across the major public hospitals.
His interests in medicine include paediatrics, skin cancer screening, men’s health, sports medicine, mental health, preventative and travel medicine, but he enjoys treating a breadth of various conditions across general practice.
In his spare time, Dr Vignaendra enjoys playing tennis, mountain biking and photography.
